Becoming the Masterpiece

As I read other peeps work at their BlogSpot’s, I marvel at the talent and ease they seem to have to create the masterpiece that made me laugh…

or cry…

Hello Masterpiece

Hello Masterpiece

or long for the experience they lived and wrote to tell us.

For me…

I agonize over every piece of work I create. I have to overcome me, and maybe if me and my baggage didn’t get in the way, it might happen easier.

Even thought it’s not easy for me, I persevere. Sometimes, my insecurities get the best of me and I worry about my ability to write with significance and flair before and after a posting.

I have learned to push past any negative feelings, that feelings are designed to be informative (like a signal light is to an intersection). They let me know when to stop and consider what’s happening inside me. They are not to rule my actions and for those whose personalities are like mine (blue on the color wheel) it takes a while to learn not to be emotionally driven.

As we pursue our dreams, we will come up against many obstacles. It’s not the obstacles we should be concerned about but the attitude we have when facing them.

Thomas Edison found thousands of ways not to make a light bulb, and finally found how to create it successfully. Where would we be if he gave up? Sitting in the dark? I don’t know about you, but I think it’s a lot safer seeing where I’m sitting, when I use a bathroom. (eww… no surprises please)

What do you do when you hit an obstacle and there is no one to help encourage you?

Do you give up?

The Apostle Paul said that when there was no one to encourage him in the Lord, he encouraged himself. Paul was under constant attack. There are those who won’t agree with you, who won’t like you or what you stand for… But there is One who does, Papa; and the bottom line is…

His opinion is the only one that matters. Make His opinion, your opinion.

I know it’s easier said then done, but keep in mind, the more you practice positive and great thoughts, the more they become your identity.

Dream your dreams… Pursue them and don’t give up. Learn to love you and enjoy who you are (unique and beautiful), because that is exactly how Papa made you.

    How can I not take a moment to tell you how these words touched me tonight. I have been in a terrible personal struggle with ME and my attitude towards things. I really enjoyed the perspectives in this piece. I also feel ‘peace’ when I am here reading. Thanks for taking the time to allow God to use your talents to help yourself and others, like me. {{{snuggles}}}

    AWESOME as always my friend! Knowing who you are in Christ frees you from yourself. It frees you from your core beliefs that are incorrect and frankly a lie. No one knows us better than our Father in heaven, and we are such stubborn creatures who He so lovingly has referred to us as “sheep”
