Standing on Holy Ground

Joshua 5:13-15
Joshua was near Jericho, he looked up and saw a man standing in front of him with a drawn sword in his hand. Joshua went up to him and asked, “Are you for us or for our enemies?”
“Neither,” he replied, “but as commander of the army of the LORD I have now come.” Then Joshua fell facedown to the ground in reverence, and asked him, “What message does my Lord  have for his servant?”
The commander of the LORD’s army replied, “Take off your sandals, for the place where you are standing is holy.” And Joshua did so.

How many times do we not recognize Papa at work in our lives? Our focus neglects the spiritual and see’s the physical. But, is this right?

When we get caught up in the physical, we lose who we are. We lose the peace God gives. An even more painful realization is that we let the Devil, man and things of this world speak into our lives… worry, anxiety, curses, hopelessness, worthlessness … the list goes on.

Papa God speaks wondrous things into us through many avenues like His Spirit, His word and others. In a conversation with my girlfriend, she said to me… that following Christ is easy. Once born again, we are new. The old has been covered. Jesus said we are healed and so we are. Are we going to believe it? I asked her if it was easy for her after her abusive relationship. She told me it wasn’t. She made it harder than it needed to be. She realizes now, how easy it is to believe that she is healed, to not question or doubt any issues that come up, but to give them to Him and rest the mind.

We don’t have to question Papa, yet we do ( I do, and I am working at letting that go). We want to know… we want an explanation as to why things are happening, but we don’t need one. Any revelation we need, He will give – even without the strain of wondering.

So next time you read, Matthew 6:27 Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life? Listen to what He is saying. Now read on…
Matthew 6:28
“And why do you worry about clothes? See how the lilies of the field grow. They do not labor or spin.
Matthew 6:31
So do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’
Matthew 6:34
Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.
Matthew 10:19
But when they arrest you, do not worry about what to say or how to say it. At that time you will be given what to say,
Mark 13:11

Whenever you are arrested and brought to trial, do not worry beforehand about what to say. Just say whatever is given you at the time, for it is not you speaking, but the Holy Spirit.

Do you see? Papa will guide you. Relax! He is there with you. Do what needs to be done. Do what the Holy Spirit guides you to do. Be wise, relax and be in GOOD communication with Him.

It’s nonsense to think that fretting or worrying will help in any way. It’s time to start trusting. It’s time to start using some self-control and putting your mind to trusting, Don’t ya think?

On a end note… Joshua asked, “What message does my Lord have for his servant?” We should be asking this question too, it puts us in the frame of mind to be listening for His voice.

Then The commander of the LORD’s army replied, “Take off your sandals, for the place where you are standing is holy.” And Joshua did so. Joshua was obedient. Are we? Because we live in the day of grace, we forget that the Holy Ground is within our hearts. It is a very part of us because of the indwelling of the Holy Spirit. Be willing to kneel before Papa God, which in essence means to submit oneself.

I just love how you address our Heavenly Father,as Papa,it is so endearing. And everything you said is doctrinal and profitable for all the Body. The longer we walk with Him,and praise Him it becomes more of our nature to learn to trust Him.Yes through life’s greatest hardship’s is where i learned to put my trust in the One,the only One who can do for me…and never let’s me down.Maranatha,Jeannette
