Eternal Perspective

All life, created by God, nothing is and nothing exists that God’s power doesn’t sustain (John 1:1-3). Anything created in my life is by Your power Papa, all good things – good things to us, aren’t necessarily what You call good (status, good health, money, comfort); but good can mean what will produce faith in me – producing the fruits of the spirit.

You prepare a feast for me in the presence of my enemies. (Ps 23:5)

As Papa and I were talking, I asked about this verse. What does it mean to have a feast in the presence of my enemies?  He showed me the Apostle Paul and within seconds I saw Paul’s beatings, shipwreck, jailing, etc. As these pictures were flashing across my mind, He said, “you live in a different day and age, a different culture and country. The resources I used to teach Paul are different from the resources I use to teach you”.

What is a feast in the presence of our enemies? The enemies are those things God allows in our lives, those things, circumstances He uses to grow us. Our enlightenment, spiritual growth and insight are the feast. How incredible is that?

You alone Papa are my inheritance, my cup of blessing. You guard all that is mine. (Ps 16:5) Where is your eternal perspective? He is asking you at this very moment, if you are considering His decisions and work in your life a blessing – if you are thoughtful to how important it is to Him that He guards the most precious possession of His – YOU, your soul, your spiritual growth, your eternal perspective.

One Response to Eternal Perspective

  1. Vee, how beautiful!!! I have been reminded of this so much over the last many, many years!!! Today I celebrate a beautiful reward of all of the pain I have been through. We found a house- girlfriend!!! And we are getting married and moving in very very soon!!! Wow!!! I am in awe of the pain that papa God has brought me through…or should I say grown me through. Now I enter a new part of my life with new joys and new challenges…new growing experiences. I give all glory and praise to God!!! He is SOOOO amazing!!!! Thank you again for your inspiring reminder of what our pain is all about!
