I remember when I worried about my salvation. I would ask You to come into my heart every time I felt guilty about something I did. I was so afraid that I wasn’t saved anymore.
Then there were moments, I thought you were mad at me, because of the way I acted or treated others. I became afraid of You; afraid that I wasn’t good enough.
I went to church, not because I wanted to, but because every child of God should. I was always aspiring to be better than I was, driving myself crazy with un-forgiveness and condemnation. (1)
One day You sent me an angel in disguise to show me Your truth. This angel helped me to understand Your word, which had gotten twisted and misunderstood as I was growing up. You made the crooked paths straight and the way smooth for me. (2)
I began to understand Your saving grace and that your gift could not be earned. It could not be bought, for gifts are given freely, aren’t they? (3) (4)
It took a while to get used to the fact that I didn’t need to feel guilty or condemned when I messed up. I persevered in changing my thinking pattern to the new and wonderful ways You were teaching me. I began to soar with the wings of Your Spirit in places I never dreamed existed. I began to enjoy my Journey with You.
The old me sometimes creeps up unexpectedly; especially if I’ve been through a trying circumstance. I am recognizing that old self, quicker and quicker, drowning it out in the praises I lift to You. (5)
I have learned that my journey with You is a process of growth, mistakes, forgiving myself and moving forward, but always knowing how proud You are of me; how much You love and support me in every way I need.(6)
I love You Papa God

So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.
For God did not appoint us to suffer wrath but to receive salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ.
