4 Steps To Help With Anger


When we are angry at someone, we let our mouth say hurtful things. Can you control those moments?

The good news is yes you can. Many times these actions are decided instantaneously. Here are 4 steps to help you overcome these moments. Because really, the idea is to stay in control and to stop hurting the other person.

1. take a deep breath – this allows you think and gain control

2. remind yourself to give yourself time to think about the situation without responding

3. when you get a moment, write it down to release it. this allows our mind to process

4. when the emotions are settled, consider your part in it first and be honest with yourself

After you’ve taken these steps, you will have better control, a deeper consciousness and if you were honest with yourself, a humility to be able to lovingly and with wisdom communicate with the other to come to a mutual understanding.
